To put it simply, I want to play Pikmin 3 with a mouse and a keyboard in Cemu and use those as virtual wiimote of sorts. What I want is a way to use mouse as IR for wiimote. However, unlike Dolphin, Cemu does not fully emulate the wiimote, it only emulates the button presses, and not the motions nor IR.

Similar to Dolphin, it allows emulating the console's controllers, as in, you can emulate the Gamepad, the Pro Controller, and the Wiimote. To be fair I haven't used DSDCS one for a few months but remember most of it being through forum posts and not knowing when there was update, this could just be me being stupid.Įdit 2: or I'm getting mixed up with DS4tools.If anyone is familiar with the Cemu Emulator, it is a Wii U Emulator, and a pretty decent one at that. For Mario Galaxy I don't have any tilt controls on until I get to a level that needs them and when I do I change the setup to have the sixaxis mapped to the right analog stick as this tends to go unused in the game.ĭS4windows has recently had some updates that allow tilting to activate special special action triggers I haven't tried any of this to see if I can get it to work better but it's a possibility.Įdit: I also recommend jumping over to DS4Windows (Jays2Kings) it now has automatic updates and is updated on a regular basis, and it's own website. I have since changed my own setup depending what I am playing. Mapping it to keys does work but definitely has problems as you don't have sensitivity controls. The main problem with this method is that the tilt is either on or off it doesn't have accuracy at the moment but I'm sure someone smarter than me can figure that out. I haven't been able to test this much so I'm sure there is some tweaking to do but I couldn't find anything useful in forums so I thought I would try and get the ball rolling on this. Go into the graphics settings then "Hide Mouse Curosr." The last thing to do is to turn off your mouse cursor when in-game. However, I have change the dead zones on the analog sticks to 100. The IR settings are set to Cursor so any in-game cursor should follow your mouse, I found the default values for this fine. If you want to do this manually right click where you want to change an input and choose DInput/0/Keyboard Mouse from the drop down then pick your binding and hit select then apply (If you use detect I recommend putting the controller down first.) For the rest of the buttons you can just click and hit the button you want to bind to it. If you cant find one your best option would be to use the sensor bar connected to a Wii that is on, or buy a wireless one to use so you can have a real wiimote and not have to deal with the profile. Reddit isn't showing up the text properly, please copy and paste from here then save the ini file and load the settings in Dolphin. Just letting you know in case you cant find a profile to use for the motion controls. Then find the ini file in C:\Users\"Computer Name"\Documents\Dolphin Emulator\Config\Profiles\Wiimote\PS4 Controller.ini To make this slightly easy first make a new profile in Dolphin. Now over to Dolphin, for ease you can copy and paste in my settings and then tweak.

Now bind the sixaxis to the keyboard IMPORTANT:Use letters to bind, arrow keys and special keys can throw it off ensure Scan Code is ticked for each setting, I used Up: I, Down: K Left: J Right:L (Use these if you want to copy and paste for Dolphin key-bindings.) It should read Tilt UP: I (Scan Code) when you have finished with the binding. The next step is to have some of the sixaxis emulate the keyboard instead of the xbox controller, due to this you'll will want to setup an auto profile, and have the controller set to default or your own settings for everything else. To do this ensure Dinput is un-ticked and Hide DS4 Controller is ticked. After not being able to find much I experimented my self here are the steps I used to get it working (I've spent more time with this than actually playing the game.)īecause of some of the changes made it is wise to make a new profile in DS4Windows.įirst you need to set up your DS4 controller to emulate a Xbox360 controller otherwise it will not be picked up by Dolphin.

I've been looking online for the past day and a bit to find advice on how to set up a DS4 controller with most features working. I'm new to Dolphin and wanted to try out Mario Galaxy for my first time.
